Well, not the bread we are all used to eating.
Yesterday I was working on a bread recipe that tastes good, can be toasted, used as a grilled cheese, plain with butter or even french toast! Yup I tried it all to make sure it works so you don't have to.
And I NAILED IT!!!
This recipe is EASY, delicious and healthy!
Ok peeps, I forgot to mention that this is grainfree and low carb! You can stop with the applause now, I need to concentrate on typing out the recipe 😘
Bread for the Brain (& gut)
1.5 cups ground flax (full of omega3's which is perfect for the brain and fiber for out tummys) (I use Bob Red Mill Brand)
.5 cups almond flour* (Bob Red Mill Brand)
1 tbsp gluten free baking powder
3/4 tsp fine sea salt (I use Bob Red Mill brand)
Mix together and set aside.
5 eggs (put in mixer)
1/3 cup melted coconut oil
1/2 cup luke warm water
Mix all the wet ingredients together in the mixer.
Then add the dry ingredients. Mix well (about 2 min)
Let sit for 2 minutes while you grease a loaf pan (I use an 8x4 loaf pan)
Pour into pan, bake for 50 min at 350.
* nut free option - omit almond flour and just add the same amount of ground flax
