Ahhhhh......the Monday after a long weekend. We all know how slow this one can start off for sure.
A weekend of fun, relaxing and over-indulging on the chocolate eggs that some bunny left around the house. (see what I did there?!?)
Then the ultimate Sunday Easter Dinner, with an over abundance of food, desserts and beverages. Which, of course, can lead to a very tired and dragged out Monday.
So you managed to grab some left overs, throw them in a container and head out to another work week. Or maybe you couldn't even get that far....so eating out (or the office cafeteria) it is.
Let's not let the lousy beginning of the week lead to a complete disaster and rail road out eating right out the window!
As I always say, don't let one little over indulgence take over the week, or month!!
So let's talk about setting ourselves up for a successful rest of the week shall we?
First of all, what the heck does Mise en Place mean, you may be asking.
Well according to www.food.unl.edu,
Mise en place (MEEZ ahn plahs) is a French term for having all your ingredients measured, cut, peeled, sliced, grated, etc. before you start cooking. Pans are prepared. Mixing bowls, tools and equipment set out. It is a technique chefs use to assemble meals so quickly and effortlessly.
How will this help with your week?
Well, let's get a plan together!
It's all about the PLAN
So it's Monday evening, you made it through the day. Now what about the rest of the week? There is no way to can eat on the fly this week and still feel good by Friday. So, while The Real Housewives of whatever is on (yes...I watch that....and no I am not apologizing), turn the TV up a little, and prep for Tues-Friday! And you won't miss an episode!!
So now we know, THE PLAN means EVERYTHING! This is what I help my clients with on a weekly and monthly basis.
If you want more information about my PLAN, just pop me an email and I would be more than honored to answer all your questions!
